| Tangshan Steel launches patent license business |

| It is reported that two companies have lately got first access to produce the four hole beam blank SEN for thing slab continuous casting, the newly approved patent product which was jointly developed by Hebei Iron & Steel Group Tangshan Steel and Anshan Oriental Giant Advanced Ceramic Co Ltd. As per report this is the first successful patent license trading in steel sector of Hebei province and marks that intellectual property right business has become a new way of development of the provincial steel enterprises. According to related statistics, earnings from output of advanced equipment, techniques and technologies take up about 30 to 40 percentage point of the gross revenue among international top steel companies. But in Hebei, the export of techniques is still far from becoming the major business model among steel sector. This new developed product is one of the key technologies in the localization of thin slab line of the steel company, which has been proved to be able to take place of export items in the production. |
